My research broadly examines interpersonal perceptions, or how people make sense of themselves and each other, with a special focus on morality and feedback. Specifically, my research examines: (1) self- and other-knowledge of personality and moral character, (2) the measurement and development of personality and moral character, and (3) how interpersonal feedback shapes people’s self-views, behaviors, and relationships. I use a multi-method approach–involving self-reports, informant reports, the Electronically Activated Recorder (EAR), and experience sampling–to investigate these topics.
